Trouble Opening Word Files in Outlook 2003

I got Outlook 2003 with SP3 on my computer. Recently I've been having
problems opening attachments that are Word .doc. When I double click on the
attachment the file is opened in a "Read-Only" Word window. The problem is
the fonts are HUGE. For example a 14-page document turns into a 101-page one
with a couple of words on each page.

Has anyone else dealt with this problem? Right now I have to save the files
somewhere and open them as I would any other local file, but that's a little
annoying. Any help is appreciated.

OK. I figured a work-around. The problem still happens but if I go to View >>
Print Layout (in Word) it switches to normal view. I'm still interested in
learning how to prevent this from happening in the first place though.
