Trouble opening word documents

I have searched all over Word support to find this but I
found only a solution to saving troubles with word files.
None-the-less, when I try to open a previous saved word
file whether it be on the hard drive or from disk it says
The file (filename) is not available. Any help or
suggestions woul be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

Oh Yeah this is Word 2000 by the way!!!

Disable the Norton Office Plug-in.

I disabled the Norton AntiVirus/Office and Voila!!! I can open my .doc's. Thank you so much!!
