Trouble opening shared workbook

Hi there!

I have an shared workbook which I have trouble opening. I
get an error message which says "Excel.exe has generated
an error." Then excel shuts down. I use Excel 2000.

Others can open the workbook and I can open it on another
computer and I have tried to re-install office, it didn´t
help. The workbook is 3,5 mb. I can open it when co-
workers remove the Shared property.

Any help would be really nice

You need to look at things that aren't excel but influence
it. On a guess I would bet on things like overflowing temp
files and fragmented disk.

Depending on the version of windows there are several
things to try. By what your saying -- it's not the file.

Try emptying the temp files out and defrag the hard drive.
