Trouble on my mind

I am using Win XP Home/SP2. I have no virus checkers running. Every 8-12
nothing. The mouse pointer freezes on-screen at that point and it is a
total lockup. I have ran AdWare, Spybot, SpySearch, deleted all cookies,
emptied all Temp folders and Recycle Bin. Computer is cool to touch as is
exhausted air from fan (it has 6 fans). Any ideas would be appreciated.

The OE6 newsgroup sent me over here after trying for awhile. Outlook Express
is all I use so I don't know the behavior with any other programs.

Could the problem be that you don't have any anti-virus program?

Something's running in the background periodically, locking you
up. It doesn't sound like hardware. Probably a legitimate program,
although an antivirus check would be a good idea.
