Trouble Installing Drivers

Greetings,

I'm having trouble installing drivers for a DS6618 Digital Camera from
Oregon Scientific. Each time I run the install software I get the following
error report,

"There was a problem installing this hardware: DS6618 Digital Camera.
An error occurred during installation of the device. The class installer
has denied the request to install or upgrade this device."

How can I tell Windows XP to ignore this error and install the driver
anyway?

The problem stems from the fact that Oregon Scientific did not have the
Camera driver fully certified with Microsoft. They instruct users to ignore
warning messages and proceed with the driver installation. However, the
installing fails with the above error report. Their "technical support
consists of telling me there are "problems with the settings in my
computer." Duh, no kidding!

Has anyone figured out how to get around the class installer problem?

Thanks,

Don Rist

Rich,
Thanks for the suggestion. The camera installed perfectly from Safe
Mode. Oregon Scientifics' tech support folks should talk to you. They
didn't have a clue what to do. Thanks again.
Don
