I purchased a computer with XP (home edition) OS. I have a
Hewlett Packard PSC 500 printer-scanner-copier. The printer
and copier parts work, but the scanner doesn't.
I contacted the person who built my computer (through a
retail store.) He told me that I had to use the software
that came with the HP; he said to go to the HP website and
download new drivers. When I went to the website, I found
that the software from HP won't work with XP. The
information at the website told me to unistall the HP
software, then use the XP installation disk to install the
correct software.
During that process, I have received this message:
The file "fxsapi.dll" on Windows XP Home Edition Service
Pack 1 CD is needed.
Type the path where the file is located, and then click OK.
HELP! I don't have that CD. Why isn't everything I need on
the Windows XP disk? Where do I find the file?
Thank you....
