trouble initializing

My Windows XP will not boot, it starts to initialize then
it pops up a screen that says "sorry for the
inconvenience....Please select how you would like to
continue, normal boot, safe mode, etc." Whichever boot
method i select it goes to the windows xp loading image
with the little moving bar at the bottom and then it
reboots and it keeps doing this. I have not installed any
new hardware or software lately. What can I do?
