Trouble Importing .mpg files Into Movie Maker

I'm trying to add some files in an .mpg format into a collection so I
can manipulate them. When I try I get the following error message: "C:
\Documents and Settings\Pbarrett\My Documents\Paul's stuff\Videos
\Staging Area Pan to Path.mpg could not be imported. An interface has
too many methods to fire events from".

Is there a way around this? I've tried to limit the import to a
single small file but recieved the same message.

Any help is appreciated.

MPEG2 files usually don't work in Movie Maker.... see my website's Import
Movie Source Files > Video > MPEG for some pointers about converting them to
files that work.
