Trouble deleting file

I am trying to delete a file but, every time I try to
delete it,I get a message that says.

cannot delete it: Access denied
Make sure disk is not full or write-protected and that
the file is not currently in use

Any help would be appreciated

re-boot the machine in safe mode and delete ot form there.

I too have trouble deleting files/photos/documents from my document
file. They keep multiplying. Thank you for your help.
