Trouble creating a table of figures?

I'm writting a document in Word 2003 with many figures; all with captions
inserted with the caption command. I made sure that all of the captions are
in the caption style, and I can insert cross references into the text.
However, when I insert a table of figures I get the error "Error! No table of
figures entries found." I would appriciate any insight into what I am doing
wrong. Thanks.

If your figures are wrapped (not In Line With Text), then Word will have
created your captions in text boxes, and Word can't "see" text in text
boxes. You can convert the text box to a frame (there's a check box or
button or something on the Text Box tab of the Format Textbox dialog), or,
better still, you can make both figure and caption inline and insert both in
a frame together (using the Insert Frame button on the Forms toolbar).
