Must virus scanners deal with Trojan Horses. There is a free one AVG 6 (for
personal use) available from www.grisoft.com or you could try House Call
which is an online scanner from Trend Micro http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
First thing to understand is that the term "Backdoor Trojan" is a generic
umbrella term for a list of backdoor Trojans. I'd run Ad-Aware and Spybot
first. You can google for their homepages. I'd also run a viral scan in
case a virus also was contracted, or the Trojan is part of a blended
threat --a Trojan/virus hybrid. You can also google "backdoor Trojan" and
get additional info.
