You do not provide enough information to really help.
What OS are you running?
Why cant AVG remove it ... what is the message you get?
Have you booted in Safe Mode and tried to remove it then?
Have you used some of the free online antivirus scans?

If the trojan is in your restore volume, no antivirus program will be
allowed access to that volume to remove the trojan. What you would need to
do is disable restore, remove all restore points, reboot, run AVG and if
you then are cleaned up, then reenable restore.

What do you mean that AVG can not "get rid of it"?
Is it in your restore folder, no av product can touch the restore
folder, you'll have to turn off the system restore, & then back on.
Is it in your recycle bin? if so empty that.
Is the file in use, & AVG can't touch it? try AVG in safe mode.
Or try a on-line scanner like trendmicro's housecall or pandasoftware's
active scan.
Or spybot search & destroy from majorgeeks.com in the spyware tools
section
If those don't work get hijack this from majorgeeks also in the spyware
tools section, & post you log on http://forums.spywareinfo.com/
Then find out how it came in & close the vulnerable ports, info in
grc.com

According to http://sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.keenval.html
keenval is just adware. If AVG can find it, it should be able to delete it,
provided it isn't currently running, and isn't stored in "system restore".

Try running AVG in safe mode, and if applicable, delete your restore
points.

I also suggest running Adaware, and Spybot Search & Destroy.

For both, be sure to download the latest updates, after you install,
but before you scan.

That's because it is not a virus...
No wait it is a virus...
Err... It's a Trojan?

Symantec pegs this one as Adware so I'm inclined to believe them:

http://sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.keenval.html

Exert: "Adware.Keenval is an adware program that redirects
the browser to portal sites, which may download more adware."

While others sites, like forum sites, say it's a Trojan...

Ether way, I've seen at least two entries said Grisoft's AVG detect it,
so try updating your viral deffs first. Ironically, it's critters like
Keenval that show how quickly the boundaries between Virus & Adware are
dissolving... How to remove?

- Update the definitions.
- Restart the computer in Safe mode.
- Uninstall KeenValue using the Add/Remove Programs utility.
- Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected as "Keenval".
- Delete the value that was added to the registry.
- Delete other files used by this Adware.

(Full instructions on the Symantec page.)
