Trojan Problems

Hi All,

I have recently purchased a brand new windows xp machine
with 1 gig ram, and 160 gig H/D etc.

I installed a firewall and antivirus software on the
machine. The problem now is I have somehow picked up a
trojan "Quicksearch Bar" which is causing big problems
with my machine.

It now "literally takes 5 minutes" to login, there is no
taskbar at the bottom of the machine once the machine has
logged on, and the system keeps crashing.

Please does anyone know how this can be fixed. we have
managed to go back to a previous restore point but to no
avail.

Please could someone help.

Run these programs to check for spyware/malware. After installing
update them, then boot into safe mode and run them. You should update
and run them weekly.
