I am working on Windows 2000 Professional & am using AVG AntiVirus program.
Since last 3-4 days I find that whenever I log on to my computer, a message
from AVG pops up saying

Virus
Trojan Horse Downloader. Tooncom.K

is found in file

C:\\Windows\iedll.exe

In order to get rid of this, I either manually delete it from my hard disk
permanently or run AVG which takes care of the problem but it comes up again
when I log on to my machine next time. How do I permanently get rid of this
virus? Also please note that due to this, I even find new URLs getting added
to the Internet Explorer 6 Favorites list automatically every time I log on
to my machine. Moreover, it resets the home page in IE6 to
http://tooncomics.com. Please note that I have SP-4 installed in my machine.

Thanks,

Arpan

You mention you have sp4 on your machine. My machine worked fine until I intalled sp4. A tech told me that sp4 puts in more bugs than it supposedly fixes. My problem was that I foolishly did not leave myself with the option of removing the service pack; so I had to do a clean install. My machine runs a lot better with sp3....I'd try that.

Hope this helps.
