Having downloaded from Sun, I have now been infected with a Trojan as below:

c:\Documents and Settings\David\Application
Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\ar3.jar-7d1aaa7e-369fb111.zip
Counter.class - Java.ByteVerify.exploit trojan.
c:\Documents and Settings\David\Application
Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\ar3.jar-7d1aaa7e-369fb111.zip
VerifierBug.class - Java.ByteVerify.exploit trojan.
c:\Documents and Settings\David\Application
Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\ar3.jar-7d1aaa7e-369fb111.zip
Beyond.class - Java.Shinwow.N trojan.

Is this virus a cold or something I should concern myself about , and how
can a so called trusted site do this?

How do I get rid of it?

regards and thanx in advance for any help

Found My own answer so posted here for anyone else who has the same problem

You visited a web page with an applet containing the Exploit Byte Verify.
Sun's Java stores it in a cache file. That's why you are seeing it in a
virus scan. As long as you are running Sun's Java you are safe. Go into
Control Panel and select the Java option. One of the tabs it will bring up
is "Cache". Delete the cache and the infected applets will be gone.
