Triple OS Win98, XP + Linux?

Olaf

Hello,

I have three hard drives on my system, the first contains Win98 (FAT32),
the second Linux. On the third disk, I want to install WinXP home using
the upgrade version from Win98. There is now one FAT32 parition which I
want to keep, and enough free space for the new WinXp for which I want
to use NTFS.

Is this feasible? How to proceed in order to get a working triple boot?

Will WinXP offer me during the upgrade the option to format a new
partition with NTFS on the third disk, and give me the choice to install
WinXP on that disk?

Thanks for advice,

Olaf

Your best bet is to use a third-party boot manager. I recommend
XOSL - it's free. With such a tool you can install an almost
unlimited number of OSs, each visible on drive C:, each totally
isolated from any of the others. If you use the WinXP "boot
manager" then you will be stuck with whatever drive letters
you get at install time, making subsequent changes difficult
if not impossible.
