Triple click not working in Notepad

After possibly installing Windows updates or new software,
triple-clicking to select a continuous block of text no
longer works. For example, I'm no longer able to select a
URL or e-mail address.

Any ideas?

It's not a life or death issue but certainly a
inconvenience.

I've never had triple click work within Notepad. Word and Wordpad, yes it
works. In Notepad? Just single- and double-click work here.
