I the XP pro setup stalled out, but is now a choice when I startup. If I
select it, the PC hangs up. I understand I needed to slipstream SP1 onto
the upgrade. Can I still upgrade? Can I get the Pro Setup off my hard
drive?

Thanks for any and all help.

does the computer boot at all? or does it just stop before the xp sign in window should come up and issue an error. If so you need to try some of the options When you see the message "Please select the operating system to start", press F8. and there's some options there to try my favorite is last known good configuration but your issue may be more than that can fix.

Thanks for the help Bukk. My PC boots and runs fine in the "old" Home
Edition mode. I am just researching where to go from here.
