Tried Everything ( I think! LOL)

I have been reading (for the past 3 days) all the posts related to ActiveX
and the Information Tool Bar and tried EVERY suggestion posted! I simply
cannot get either one to work and am about ready to get the sledge hammer
out. Are there any NEW ideas out there - besides reformatting????????????

Well, seeing as we can't guess at what you've already tried, maybe you ought
to just reformat.

Did you enable these settings:
Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls ..... Enable
Automatic prompting for file downloads ...... Enable
Download signed ActiveX controls ...... Prompt

Try re-registering the following .dll files
Softpub.dll
Wintrust.dll
Initpki.dll
Urlmon.dll

1. Click Start >Run and type
regsvr32 Softpub.dll
Click okay to register it
You should get a dialog box telling you that it was successful.
2. Repeat the process for the other .dll files.
3. Restart your computer and try the update site again.
