Tried Almost Everything..Still wont connect...

I currently have 2 PC's on a home network. One is an XP Pro SP2, and the
other is Win2K Pro SP4. They are both connected to a D-Link Wireless Router
and can see the internet, and on a workgroup connection called MSHOME. When
I set a folder to be shared on the Win2K machine, the XP can see that folder
fine. When the Win2K Performs a search of the XP machine (MainPC) It finds
it, but gives me an error message: "\\MainPC is not accessible: Logon
failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this
computer." When I set an XP folder to be shared, the Win2K cannot see it -
in fact, it can't see the XP PC at all. I've run through the troubleshooter
and followed advice of the newsgroups. Here's what I've tried;

* Enabled Sharing on both PC's
* Checked Router to ensure no restrictions
* Turned on NetBIOS over TCP/IP on both PC's
* Pinged each way to the other's internal IP successfully
* Verified that the Computer Browser Service was running
* Changed names of the Workgroup to match
* Logging in on both PC's with Admin Priveledges

I am so out of options. Please help!

On Tue, 28 Sep 2004 23:43:03 -0700, Network Confucious <Network
\\MainPC is not accessible: Logon
failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this
computer.

Is that "requested" or "required"?

There is a user rights policy to deny network access to certain
users and groups, which contains a SUPPORT user and, by default,
Guest. If Guest is included here, guest and anonymous access
(all users who do not have an account with the same username and
password on the target computer) from other computers is not
possible and yields the error message, "Logon failure: The user
has not been granted the required logon type at this computer.".
Double-click on the policy and remove Guest from it if you want
to allow anonymous access.

Otherwise have a look at http://www.michna.com/kb/WxNetwork.htm.

I'm very interested to learn of the solution if you find one. So
please report back. I'd also like to know the exact English name
of the security policy mentioned above.
