Trial version

Hi!

Excel 2000.

I want to send a trial version of an excel workbook to a client. The
workbook depends on a lot of macro code so the client has to activate macros
or the file will be useless. I want the trial period to expire one month
after my client uses the workbook for the first time. How can I accomplish
this?

Not easy, because Excel's security is weak.

One way would be to create a DLL that the Excel workbook uses and will not
work without, and add some licensing/trial checking software to that DLL.
There are 3rd party utilities for doing this.
