trial period ends...

My free trial period of Word is over, and it has locked me out of my
documents. I'm trying to find my old version of Word, but I'm worried that
the new version wrote over the old one. If I uninstall the trial version,
will I lose all my documents?? thx!

No, uninstalling the software doesn't touch the documents at all.

If you haven't backed up your documents to a separate disk, though,
you're just asking for trouble. All disks fail, the only question is
when. This has nothing to do with installing or uninstalling, just
insurance against other disasters.

other advice. Documents aren't the only things you need to back up!
