I just downloaded the Access trial. If I decide to buy the program after the
trial period, the data I have entered in my trial will transfer. Correct??

I am almost certain that all that expires is the Access Trial program and not
the data. The accdb or the mdb contains your data and can still be read by
another valid Access program.

Yup, I'd agree with Rural Guy. The MDBs/ACCDBs you create will still
be accessible.
