TRASH IN FAVORITES

help..... in my
favorites there are at least 6 folders and within them there are more folders
with web links to numerous site, ie online pharmacy and that sort of crap.
everytime im online i get popups from these sites eventhough my settings
are on block all pu's.
tried right clicking on folders , sub folders and links but dont get any
options such as delete or anything else.
folders also dont show up in the organise favorites tool either..
