Hey everyone... I have Vista Home Prem with a MS 2000 keyboard that has the
volume control feature on the kb.... Does Vista have a feature like Mac OSX
where if your increase or decrease the volume control from the keyboard, OSX
will bring up a transparent scale of the volume setting, does Vista have the
same feature??... I tried looking through most of the setting and can not
find anything .

thanks all...

The MS Keyboard has a 'Properties' key, between the right windows key, and
the right ctrl key. If you press the volume key, then the Properties key,
you should get a slider on the volume icon in the Notifications area. Escape
out.
There is a checkbox for showing the Volume icon on Control Panel/
Sounds/Audio tab.

There is a volume level display that does pop up within Media Center, but
there isn't one available on the basic Windows desktop. If it exists at all
any on-screen display of the volume level would be provided by a custom
keyboard driver. For example, HP includes on-screen volume level display
with its multimedia keyboard drivers. If the MS keyboard came with a driver
disc try installing that and look for settings pertaining to on screen
display.
