Transparent Proxy Server Error - HELP!

Hi, can someone please tell me why I get this error
message everytime I log onto my XP computer : "Transparent
Proxy Server has encountered a problem and needs to
close". The message pops up every few seconds and is
slowing my computer down, its also very annoying and I
think it will eventually lead to a bigger problem. If
anyone knows a solution as to how I can get rid of it
please Help!

You may wish to reinstall Norton Internet Security to resolve this issue.
