transparent drop down menus

XP Pro-My drop down menus under file,edit,view, etc are
all transparent. Even when I right click the menu box is
transparent. Can anyone suggest how to fix?

Sounds like a memory problem. Check for latest moboard
chipset drivers, seated memory chips, etc.
