transparent background for clip art

I have animated clipart graphics -- letters that spin. I want the background
to be transparent so that the page background shows through. I used
Microsoft Image Composer to save for web and it works for other clips but not
for the animated ones. Can someone help? I hope so.

You have to use the Animated GIF editor, where you have to edit each frame in the Animated GIF. This
app is normal installed with Image Composer, if not it is on the same CD as IC.

I find only the Options Tab on the Animator -- no animation or image tab. I
assume I need those to edit the gif image. I do not have a CD for Image
Composer -- think it was preloaded on my computer. Can I download the other
functions?

IC/Animated GIF Editor is not available for downloading.

In Animated GIF Editor and IC you have to edit each individual frame to have a transparent
background and then replace.

The Gif Animator download is the same as the one in Image Composer. Now my
problem is that I can fill only one frame -- can only copy same image to
successive frames. It would seem that I should alter the image to create the
animation. Am I thinking about it wrong?

Correct, you must create individual images for each frames of the animation, then you set the
duration for display of each frame, etc.

Thanks Thomas! I appreciate your patience. Do you have ideas about why I
cannot seem to fill more than one image frame?

T

Nancy,

Just drag each image below the prior image. Also see the help (?)
