transparency ?

I have a digital clock on my desktop which I would like to make transparent,
so it won't block information that is underneath it. I know there are
several transparizer programs available for Windows XP, but in their
descriptions they say they are for making windows transparent. Will they
make a digital display on the desktop transparent? (The clock is not in the
form of a window, and there is no taskbar button for the clock, although
there is a systray icon). Thanks in advance

Try looking at this site
http://ipi.fi/~rainy/index.php?pn=projects&project=rainlendar Rainy has 2
different apps, Rainlendar and Rainmeter, both have full transparency
control over them. Lendar is a calendar proggie and Meter has clock and all
kinds of other cool little displays. Not to mention they are completely
skinnable and will likely eat up a lot of your time if you decide to
customize it yourself. Well it did for me anyway :( BUT it is now the exact
color I wanted to match my desktop theme. Check em out, they're both
freeware.
I know this will help
