transmitting pictures that have been recieved via e-mail

I have a gateway computer with windows xp that was new in
2003 ,I had no problems recieving or forwarding pictures
recieved until about 6 weeks ago .I now try to send
pictures using "Internet Explorer",now my pictures come
out at the recieving end as "red " X's in a box. What
has transpired in the last 6 weeks that will cause this ?
Other people have said it is an "Internet Explorer "
problem? What do I have to do to correct this problem?
Would greatly appreciate any help on this problem .

Is this all recipients? Could have to do with the way the recipient's email program
is setup. Look in tools, options, security tab, un-tick "Do not allow attachments to
be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus."
