transition problems

I just switched from O.E. to Outlook after "malicious
script" problems that derailed my O.E. I imported my
address book and contents of all mailboxes to Outlook, and
made Outlook my default mail program. I'm having a myriad
of transition problems: (1)Mail is still arriving in
O.E. I have to click send/receive in Outlook and then
wait a minute or two (?) to get messages there (mail won't
just show up automatically there). (2) My address book
stuff is there in Contacts, but when I try to open the
address book it is empty. (3) Occasionally when I hit
send/receive, I get multiple log-on requests, and each
time the "remember password" box will come up unchecked,
though I check it every time. Any help would be
appreciated!

Stop running Outlook Express and it won't get new messages.

Set a send/receive interval. Since you didn't specify your Outlook version,
it's difficult to tell you what to click.

Add the Outlook Adddress Book service to your mail profile.

Search Microsft's Knowledge Base. This problem has an article posted there.
