Problems Importing Address Book From OE6 Into Outlook 2007

Jim Mac Millan

Hello,

I have several folders in my O.E.6 Address Book, i.e. Business, Family,
Friends, etc. For some reason when I import into Outlook 07 none of the
address in any of the folders are imported. If I have an address in the root
it gets picked up though. I want to keep my categories segregated when I
import them into Outlook 2007.

Also, is there a way to import a WAB file directly into Outlook 07. On
my desktop PC I don't have any data in O.E 6 so I thought I would copy the
WAB file over and import it. I don't any obvious way to do this.

Thanks For Any Help
Jim

You cannot import a WAB directly.
You can only import the root Contacts Folder.

I think most people in your situation create similar subfolders in Outlook,
then move the Contacts in each of OE's subfolder into the root folder and
import them to their respective subfolder in Outlook. An alternative would
be to move all Contacts into the root folder of OE, import them all at the
same time, then use Categories in Outlook to organize them instead of
separate subfolders.
