transition effects cause program shut down

Dear sirs,
could anyone tell me why, when i simply choose
any type of transition effects (simply choose, not
transfer on the clipboard!) the program shut down?

Hi there,

I am guessing...but I imagine that the program uses Direct Draw/Show to
display the images quickly, if I am right about that, then you need to make
sure that you have the best/most recent driver that is available for your
graphics card and the most recent direct draw driver...(Version 9 I think?)
