transferring Outlook files to another computer

Hi,

I have an old computer with Office 97? on it and have been using Outlook
Express for my e-mail. However, we have a new computer with Vista Home on it
and it has Office basic 2003 with Outlook on it.

I want to transfer everything (address book, folders, saved e-mails) from OE
on the old computer to Outlook on the new computer. Unfurtunately I have
tried the 'export & import' function, and I have also copied OE onto a disk
and installed it on the new computer, but can't seem to open it at all.

any suggestions?

thanks

Nick

Just the same ones posted here daily. You have not asked an Outlook
question. If you do not know how to transfer data between OE installations,
ask in an OE group. Only then could you transfer data form OE to Outlook.

You need to copy your OE identity & Address book (wab?) to your new PC
(copy to a convenient location, eg My Documents)
Import that into Windows Mail, before you can export to OL
