I am shortly due to upgrade my PC and the O/S will still remain WinXP.
Having experienced a load of hassle when attempting to move files from Win98
to XP, can anyone advise me of the correct procedure to link the two PC's
via a crossover parallel cable (or different?) in order to move files from
one to the other please?

Is it just a matter of Networking setup, and, if so, what should I look out
for (Firewalls, permissions, IP adresses etc) ?

Thank you in advance.

Bob

Thank you for this, it looks really helpful. I will inwardly digest and sort
it from there.

Thank you very much for your trouble.

Regards
