Transferring files from old PC to new one

I build a new PC and loaded Vista. I used Easy Transfer to move my files and
settings from my old Windows XP PC over night. This morning I found that both
PC’s had rebooted. I assumed that the transfer had completed and my files and
settings would be on my new PC. They weren’t. I can’t find any of my
pictures, music etc, which were in my ‘Documents and Settings’ folder.
Questions:
Could they have transferred and be hidden?
If so, where would I find them?
I have a second slave hard drive in my new system that is a clone of my old
hard drive. How would I move my settings to my new drive? Can you just copy
files or is there more to it.

Hello Kurt,

I suspect that Windows Update pulled down some updates and rebooted your box
(per your selection to do so). IF that's the case it could have killed your
migration early in the process before your data from your data was migrated.
Give it another shot.

Cheers!
