Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to [including where the
jacks are located] transfer cassett tapes to my pc. I am technically
challenged, so simple, plain language would be appreciated. I have
downloaded Audacity. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You should pitch audacity....To record to pc,download WM encoder 9 series
from WM home page, download the codec package also,to record, open the
encoder, select, capture audio/video,follow the simple menu to record. For audio
jacks, take cassette or headphone from reciever out to a 1/8 converted jack
that has 2 rca connections to it,use audio/video cord(2 audio lines) for the
connection,at computer end,recieve the 2 lines with another Y 2 line
converter
jack that ends as 1/8,plug into audio-in.Basically,the 2 Y-1/8 jacks are
the key,
you can get those at radio shack or a large supermarket...
