I've just bought a laptop and want to transfer my outlook address book to
it. But I can't find any export functionality for this [the export button
under file is greyed out].

I'm using office 2000 on the desktop and 2007 on the new laptop.

Help appreciated. Thanks

On the desktop, close Outlook. Find your pst file. Copy that to your new
Laptop. (Do NOT overwrite any existing pst file). Remove any read-Only
attribute. Then in Outlook 2007 do File-Open-Outlook Data File. Navigate to
where you copied the old file to. You then have two options: either drag all
your data from the old file to the new, or, if you have a great deal of
data, just set the old file as your default delivery location via Control
panel-Mail.
