Transfereing to new PC

How do I transfer my message folders and contents to my
new PC and retain them as they appeared in Outlook on the
old PC. I need easy access to old messages.
Any help appreciated.

You miss information about Outlook version in use...
Supposing you are using OutlookXP or Outlook2003, you can have a look at
this Knowledge Base article for making abackup of your data (including
messages, calendars, notes, etc.):
