I have two desktop complete different hardware I want to transfer all my
setting, configuration, and apps from one to the other is there a way to do
this?

Acronis TrueImage Workstation Echo, with the Universal Restore option, can
image the entire computer so you can restore it to the other. You'll need
the disk controller driver handy when you do the restore.

Using WinXP's FAST Wizard, by MVP Gary Woodruff (Please read the caveats
about Outlook Express)

Simply run the file transfer wizard from the xp cd,start wizard,select files/
data/etc to transfer,collect data in new folder you created,once thru,move to
cd.Set the FTW in "old computer" mode to collect data...

No, especially for apps.
 
As I already stated, this is incorrect, if you use something like Laplink's
PC Mover. (You're a bit behind the times). Of course, that said, a
clean install is best, but it isn't really necessary.
