I am trying to find info on calculating through put over
a lan from 1 Windows 2000 server to another. Questions
have risen taht teansfering a 3 gig file is taking to
long.

Any help would be apprciated

In rough numbers take the Mbit rate of the connection and multiply by 4
to get the Megabytes per minute. So a 3 gig file is 3000 Meg divided by
400 for a 100 Mbit(7.5 minutes) or by 4000 for a Gigabit(45 seconds)
connection.
