Transfer .pst files

I have a new computer and before getting rid of the old computer, I made CD
copies of the 5 personal folders (.pst) I was using. I have transfered the
data to the new machine and 2 of the 5 personal folders loaded with no
problem. The other 3 folders are not accessible due to a "is not a personal
folders file" error. Any suggestions on how to recover these files?
 
You probably just need to turn the read-only flag off.
