Transfer Macros

I had created a macro in Word 2003. After upgrading to 2007, I can't find it.
How can I get to that macro to show Developer/Macros list? It's empty right
now.

Or do I have to re-record it in 2007 - ugh!

It should have been copied from your existing normal.dot file to your new
normal.dotm file, unless by "upgrade" you mean something other than
upgrading Word 2003 to Word 2007 on the same computer.

If it wasn't copied for some reason, you should be able to copy it using
the Organizer. In the Developer tab, click Document Template - Organizer
button. Click on Macro Project Items. In the left panel, click Close File,
then use Open File to open Normal.dot. Then highlight macros on the left and
copy them to Normal.dotm on the right.

It was the same computer. But meanwhile, I found that I had saved the text of
the macro in a Word (2003) file. I fumbled around and got into a "create a
macro" window; pasted the text into in; had to delete a line which showed up
as an error when I tried to run it; and got the thing to run OK.

Thanks for your reply.'
