transfer FSMO to new server

I need to transfer the RID MASTER and PDC emulator to a new server but I
realized that the old server that was preforming these has been sucessfully
demoted from the domain. I have a total of 3 AD servers in a single forest.
When I do a ntdustil to on the server that I want to BECOME the RID MASTER
and PDC emulator I am told that this server "Is not a direct replication
partner of the previous RID master. It is recommended that only a direct
replication partners be promoted to the RID master. Do you want to proceed
ahead?" My previous RID master is not available.
 
So I can just disregard the message about the server not being a direct
replication partner of the previous RID master and proceed?
