Transfer files from one non netwroked computer to another

Steve

I just sent a message that appears to have been consumed
in vapor space so let me try again. I have two non
networked computers. One is a laptop running Windows XP.
The other is a tower running Windows ME. I am simply
trying to move selected files from the tower to the
laptop, something I'll do from time to time. I do not
want to network the two computers. The laptop will not
recognize any folders [containing multiple files] created
on a backup RW CD by the tower ME operating system. I
even tried creating folders on a RW CD using the laptop
so I could copy selected files into these folders from
the tower and the Windows ME operating system told me I
am denied access to those folders. I am going crazy.
There must be some security feature that I need to turn
off in XP for the CD so I can move files back and forth.
Can anyone help?

Your first message did show up. Just look for it or use a newsreader like
outlook express.

What cd burning software are you using? Are you burning the files as a data
cd?
