Transfer Files and Folders

Hi All:
I got a new computer that is exactly the same hp I've
been using for the past year. Then, I would like to
transfer files and folders from this computer to a brand
new one. Both are manufactured by hp.

When I went to 'Tansfer Wizard' in my attempt to transfer
files and folders, it saying, ... the easiest way to
transfer is 'Cable,'
My question is ;
(1) What kind of 'Cable' should I purchase in order to
get the job/transfer done? Is this cable available at
local store like CompuUSA, Best Buy and Office Depot?
(2) Besides, to transfer by 'Cable,' is there any way to
transfer files and folders by CDs? Because, it sounds
like the most easy way for me to do?
Thanks for your help in advance.

it's kind of written before the USB became popular. The
old way was use the serial null moden cable. Now you can
buy a USB to USB transfer cable kit. Some setup a network
and use a cat5 crossover cable.

Here is a USB kit.

part # B133-1062 Is one USB 2.0 to USB 2.0
both computers need USB 2.0
or

Part # B133-1016 Is USB 1.1 to USB 1.1
