transfer file wizard

I need to transfer files from an old ME computer to XP. The transfer wizard
asks me to create a wizard disk, but the only chioces for drives are not
drives I can access. Is there a way I can burn the correct files for the
wizard disk to a CD drive?

Insert the Windows XP cd into the drive. Autorun should kick off and you
get a dialog asking what do you want to do. Pick perform additional tasks.
Pick File and Settings transfer wizard. You should be able to save your
settings to any type of removable media. Bring that back to your XP box and
run with it. ;)

I have never used FAST but here is an excellent guide for it by Gary

I do not have the xp cd. xp was preinstalled on the new computer. The
transfer wizard is asking me to create a wizard disk to then use on the old
computer (ME). Unfortunately, it will not let me create the wizard disk on
to a CD, It only gives me the drive options of g,h,i, and J, which I do not
use.

Odd, just about every vendor I know that sells a new computer with XP
preinstalled provides a recovery CD in case the operating system needs to be
installed.

So what happens if you pick g, h, i, or j and then try copying the two files
it cares to a CD?
