Tracking day by day changes for same user

If I make 'changes to changes' on a doc that I've modified before, can Word
track those changes? e.g. change a phrase one day, and the next day I
re-edit that same phrase - can Word track (keep a record of) both changes? or
do I 'lose' the original change?
I had thought that in the Beta version I could do this...
Thanks

Not really. The only way you can do this is change your User Name each day.
(On the Review tab, click the arrow below Track Changes.)

I don't recall being able to do what you want in the beta or any other
version. I'm thankful it doesn't - I prefer my typos and spelling errors not
be tracked. ;-)
