tracking changes - popups in ms word

Guest

when tracking changes, when i let my mouse rest on or near a change, msword
2003 insists in putting a popup in my face telling me what the change (which
i can see perfectly well without the popup) says and when and by whom it was
made. this infuriating popup keeps me from reading the changes under the
popup.

is there any way to get these popups out of my face for ever?

Disable ScreenTips on the View tab of Tools | Options (but be aware that
this setting affects more than tracked changes).

Thank you, Suzanne! This is most helpful! you kept me from going back to
office 2000!

and thank you for the warning that it affects other things. i just made a
toggle macro for it (might be a good addition for next version of MS Office)
