Tracking Changes, Options Reset

Having unraveled enough features of Track Changes to function with some
sanity, there is still one perplexing one: the option settings do not persist
from one day to the next in the same document. I set Insert = None, close
the file, immediately re-open it and find it’s the same. The next day I find
it is set to Underline. Is that just life in Track Changes? Using Word 2003
 
I'm not sure what is going on here. The track changes options should
definitely be saved with the document.

Note, however, that whenever you are creating a *new* document, it will use
the settings for Track Changes stored in the document template.
